The Kiss, Revisited

This piece is based on a photo named "The Kiss" on page 329 of the book "LOVING: A photographic history of men in love 1850s-1950s" from the Treadwell-Nini collection. When I saw the black and white photo I was filled with a sense of joy that I felt could only be expressed in vivid colors. I was put in mind of Kaffe Fassett's paperweight and shirt stripes fabrics. Both of which are reminiscent of the patterns in Gustav Klimt's paintings.
